Our company

Variegata is a nursery that specializes in variegated plants. Here you will find shrubs, trees and perennials to brighten up your garden a little extra - even when not blooming. The nursery is located 40 km east of Uppsala, in Sweden. Since the nursery is situated on a organic farms, it is natural that we do not use any chemical pesticides in the nursery.

Variegata was started in 2009 by Elisabeth Dec Carlborg a qualified horticulturalist (MSc in Horticulture).
I love to propagate plants! In a sowing ofEastern Sand Cherry, Prunus pumila v.depressa, in 2006, I discovered that one of the seedlings had its leaves dusted by white spots. A variegated Sand Cherry!
I was completely stuck, so many wonderful garden plants with variegated leaves that are! For you to also experience this rich diversity of variegated plants that light up and create momentum in your garden, I started the nursery Variegata.

The goal is to offer the largest assortment of variegated garden plants in Sweden.
